InductEV today opened its second U.S. location in Long Beach, California. The company is fresh off news that Seattle’s transit agency will adopt its technology -- the seventh such deployment in the state of Washington. The new Long Beach office is staffed by a team of industry veterans who will seek to accelerate the use of high-power, on-route inductive wireless charging.

The new partnership will develop software, hardware and cooling and electrical systems integration of InductEV’s wireless charging pads with Phoenix’s zero-emission drive systems. This strategic partnership will provide Phoenix’s customers with the option to select wireless inductive charging for use in duty cycles and recurring routes.

The advent of wireless charging in the commercial transport sector took a big step forward today with industry leader InductEV striking three new strategic partnerships. The company has reached agreements with Miller EV Solutions, Roush, and WB Engineers+Consultants to help accelerate the adoption of its high-power, on-route inductive charging technology and AI overlay for energy management.

InductEV, a pioneer in wireless EV charging, today announced that Sound Transit will deploy its wireless charging technology for Seattle’s new Stride bus rapid transit service. The procurement includes 48 wirelessly charging electric buses, including 33 double-deckers from Alexander Dennis, one of the world’s leading independent global bus manufacturers and a subsidiary of NFI Group Inc. Seattle will be the first location in North America to deploy double-decker electric buses with inductive wireless charging.

InductEV today announced that Tim DeMoss has joined the pioneering wireless charging company as its first Director of Port & Intermodal Strategies. He joined after 17 years with the Port of Los Angeles, where he most recently served as an Environmental Affairs Officer for the Air Quality Section in the Port’s Environmental Management Division.
