InductEV Names Canada’s Ramco EV Solutions as Certified Installation and Maintenance Provider for Wireless Charging Infrastructure

Partner Agreement Paves Way for Ontario to Deploy Safe, Reliable, and Cost-Effective Wireless Fleet Charging

KING OF PRUSSIA, PA and TORONTO, CANADA - July 2, 2024 - Ramco EV Solutions, one of Canada’s premier providers of electrical contracting services, today announces its selection as a Certified Installation and Maintenance Provider of InductEV’s high-power wireless charging solution for transit and commercial vehicles. This certification reinforces Ramco’s commitment to advancing innovative technology in the electric vehicle industry and paves the way for wireless EV charging to take hold in the province of Ontario.

InductEV pioneered the use of wireless inductive EV charging for fleet vehicles as a more reliable, cost-effective, and environmentally friendly technology. With its new certification, Ramco EV Solutions is now fully equipped to install and maintain InductEV’s wireless charging systems, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance for the region’s transit and commercial fleet owners and operators.

"We are thrilled to partner with InductEV to help bring their groundbreaking wireless charging technology to our clients," said Robert Morvillo, President of Ramco EV Solutions. "This certification not only enhances our service offerings but also aligns with our vision of promoting reliable and efficient charging solutions. Our team is really charged up to leverage this advanced technology to support the growing demand for high-performing EV infrastructure."

Ramco brings considerable experience to the partnership, having successfully deployed high-power charging infrastructure at locations that include the Toronto Transit Commission (TTC), Durham Region Transit, and the Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport. The Toronto-based company’s extensive portfolio in public transit infrastructure illustrates its ability to handle large-scale, complex projects.

Adam Halsey, Head of Business Development for Canada at InductEV, also expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration: "Ramco EV Solutions’ dedication to project excellence and innovation makes them an ideal partner for deploying our wireless charging infrastructure. Their expertise and commitment to quality, demonstrated through their relevant and industry-leading experience, will ensure that customers receive best-in-class service as we set out to upgrade Ontario’s fleet charging landscape."

This strategic partnership marks a significant milestone for both companies: it combines Ramco EV Solutions’ extensive experience in electrical contracting with InductEV’s pioneering vehicle charging solution. As more and more commercial vehicles electrify, the need for efficient, reliable, and user-friendly charging solutions becomes increasingly essential. The new partnership – a first for Canada – is poised to meet this demand and drive the future of EV charging.

To date, InductEV has delivered over 3 GWh of energy to customers in the U.S. and EU through its wireless charging network - the equivalent of saving nearly 1,000 metric tons of CO2. Just recently, Seattle’s Sound Transit agreed to deploy its technology on 48 electric buses along popular routes, making it the seventh transit agency in Washington State alone to embrace wireless induction charging.
